GRILLED LEMON PEPPER OKRA

INGREDIENTS

However much okra you want to cook, not cut
2-6 tbsp olive oil, depending on how much okra you have
Lemon pepper seasoning
A fresh lemon or lemon juice
Fresh cracked black pepper
Metal or wooden skewers, if using wooden soak them in water ahead of time
Ziplock bag
METHOD

Preheat your gas grill on medium heat
Toss your okra into the ziplock bag and pour in enough olive oil to lightly cover all the okra
Slide each piece of okra onto two skewers through the broad side, you can easily fit 5 pieces onto each double set of skewers
Place your skewered okra on the grill and season with lemon pepper, cook for around 3 minutes then flip it over
Season the now cooked side with lemon pepper and cook for 3-4 more minutes, until it is nice and soft
Pull from grill and slide off skewer into a bowl and squeeze some lemon juice on top then lightly crack some fresh black pepper on top

Ingredients

Fresh broccoli crowns, at least 4 crowns per serving
Grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 tbsp of salted butter per serving
A fresh lemon or lemon juice, 1-2 tbsp per serving
Fresh minced garlic, 1/2-1 clove per serving per taste
Sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper


How To Make It

Steam or boil your broccoli to your preferred firmness
Place your butter, garlic, and lemon juice in a sauce pan and heat on medium heat
Once the sauce is well mixed and thoroughly heated add your cooked(and strained if boiled) broccoli to the pan with a few light sprinkle of Parmesan
After the broccoli is completely covered in the sauce place the broccoli in a side dish ramekin and spoon some sauce over top
Top with more Parmesan, a light sprinkle of sea salt, and a bit of fresh cracked black pepper
