It is a trend of detoxing. From food to drinks and face masks, the world is trying to build everything around the word "Detox" just to make you feel beautiful and healthy! And it becomes all the more important to undergo a detox after the wedding and festival season.

So if you have binged heavily upon the festival food and still have some weddings to attend; because the celebrations haven't ended yet my friend, then you have come to the right spot.

Here are 5 simple ways for you to detox yourself curated by the famous dietician Sheela Seharawat.

#1 Avoid Sugar :

I don't think there is anyone who doesn't crave for sweets or desserts. And if you have taken a fair share of sweets this season, then you my friend have to cut down on your sweet and sugar intake. Replace your desire for sweets by intaking fruits which will not only help in fulfilling your desire for sweets, but also be a good source of fiber and vitamins too!

#2 Avoid Oily and Spicy food :

Try to go as light as you can on your meals. Avoid fried foods and junk foods and aim at consuming more balanced meals. In addition you can add a glass of Amla juice every morning on an empty stomach and a glass of warm milk before bed. You could also choose to consume more a bowl full of salads and fruits for dinner for at least 3 nights.

#3 Hydrate yourself with Water :

Start drinking loads of water, at least 8-10 glasses. It'll be even more beneficial if you go in for lukewarm water as it helps in improving metabolism and digesting fats.

#4 Exercise and workout :

Work outs and diet go hand in hand. Concentrating only on working out or only on diet control will do no good. So burn those extra calories either by walking, running, hitting the gym or cycling will do good.

#5 Green tea :

Sipping 3-4 cups of green tea will help, but if you aren't then 2 glasses minimum is required for your body to detoxify internally.
