Fat In French-Fries

French fries is one of the most favorite fast food choice of many across the world. It contains carbohydrates out of the potato and fat gained from the deep fried process and some sodium out of the seasoning applied on it.

Dietician Sheela Seharawat says that she recommends potatoes in many of her diet plans because of its carbohydrate contents, but the same potato turns unhealthy when being served as French fries, and mainly because of being deep fried.


Deep fried foods creates layer of fats one over the other in our body leading to obesity, which is a prime reason for heart related diseases, cholesterol blocks and cardiovascular issues leading to strokes and other serious diseases. In a normal medium serving of French fries which weighs 117 Gms has almost 46% of fat contents.
