Traditional Christmas Dinner.
A Christmas dinner is a meal traditionally being eaten on the Christmas Eve. Often rich and varietal forms an importantly significant part of gatherings held to celebrate Christmas. In many countries it is considered a ritual to be a part of this dinner as a religious celebration.
Dietician Sheela Seharawat says that the traditional Christmas Dinner varies with country and region including local delicacies and traditions. In many countries especially European countries the menu starts with appetizers includes salmon – smoked or pate, prawns and some soups occasionally. In the main course smoked turkey is a must along with an array of traditional meat preparations and vegetables choices. The dessert is must to include Christmas pudding flamed with brandy and pies. Christmas cake is served with coffee at the end of meals.
