Ingredients:
Roasted makhana (fox nuts) – 1 cup
Chopped onion – 1 small
Chopped tomato – 1 small (deseeded)
Chopped cucumber – ½ small
Green chili – 1 finely chopped (optional)
Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
Chaat masala – ½ teaspoon
Roasted cumin powder – ¼ teaspoon
Black salt / rock salt – as per taste
Fresh coriander leaves – for garnish
Sev or roasted peanuts – 1 tablespoon (optional, for crunch)
Method / Steps to Make:
Dry roast the makhana in a pan on low flame until they turn crisp and light golden. Set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, combine the chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, and green chili.
Add the roasted makhana to the bowl.
Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt.
Drizzle lemon juice and toss everything well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and top with sev or roasted peanuts (optional).
